The undersigned, herein referred to as "Cardholder," do hereby open a Panther PAW Cash (Personalized Access Worldwide) Account, herein referred to as "Panther PAW," and agrees to be bound by all of the terms and conditions set forth herein. The Panther PAW Cash Account will be administered by the Panther PAW Office, a division of Auxiliary Services at Clark Atlanta University, located on the third floor of the Student Center, 223 James P. Brawley Drive, SW, Atlanta, Georgia 30314 (404) 880-8PAW (8729).
1. THE PANTHER PAW CASH ACCOUNT
a. The Panther PAW CASH Account is a record of pre-deposited funds accessed for the purpose of purchasing products and services.
b. There is no daily limit on the number of purchases that may be made and debited; however, no debits or charges shall exceed the amount of available funds deposited on the Panther PAW CASH Account.
c. Any transaction(s) processed during an off-line mode will be charged to the account and will be updated upon reinstatement of the system. This may result in a negative account balance in which the Cardholder will need to make a deposit to the Account.
d. No interest shall be paid on any balance in the Panther PAW CASH Account.
e. The Cardholder understands and agrees that the Panther PAW Cash Account shall not be used as a credit card or to obtain cash advances.
f. The Cardholder understands and agrees that the Panther PAW CASH Account is non-transferable.
g. The Panther PAW CASH Account shall be activated by the Panther PAW Office upon proper verification of University status (Enrolled Student, Faculty/Staff, Alumnus, Board of Trustee, Guest), receipt of signed Panther PAW agreement and an initial deposit of twenty U.S. dollars (US $20.00) or more. Deposits may be made in the following: (1) in person at the Panther PAW Office with cash, check, money order, credit card or Visa bank check card: (2) by mail with a check, money order or credit card only: or (3) by telephone with a credit card or Visa bank check card only. All deposits received by mail will be credited to the Panther PAW CASH Account no later than 2:00 p.m. on the following business day
h. After initial activation, additional deposits may be made at any time in the amount of one US dollar (US $1.00) or more via the preceding methods and at the Value Transfer Stations (VTS) located throughout campus.
2. THE PANTHER PAW CARD
The manner in which one shall access their Panther PAW CASH Account shall be the Panther PAW Card, herein referred to as "Card." The Cardholder must present his/her Card at the time of use in order to purchase products or services.
a. The Card is the exclusive property of Clark Atlanta University and is non-transferable.
b. The Card is the official ID Card for Clark Atlanta University and must be presented upon demand. The Card may be confiscated from the Cardholder as a result of inappropriate or illegal use.
3. LIABILITY FOR LOST OR STOLEN CARDS
To prevent unauthorized use of a lost or stolen Card, Cardholders should immediately report the lost or stolen card to the Panther PAW Office at (404) 880-8PAW (8729) or via e-mail at: pantherpawcard.com to insure proper deactivation. After business hours, Cardholders should report lost or stolen cards to the Campus Police at (404) 880-8911. The Cardholder shall be responsible for all usage of the Card prior to card deactivation. Cardholders need to obtain a replacement Card at the Panther PAW Office. Cardholders are subject to a replacement fee for the card
4. REFUNDS AND MERCHANDISE RETURNS
a. Merchandise may be accepted for return in accordance with the refund policy in effect at the place of purchase of the product(s) or service(s). Any refund shall be credited to the Cardholder's Account; no cash refund(s) will be made for any purchases with the Card.
5. ACCOUNT CLOSURE
a. The account will be closed and a refund will be processed for students upon: suspension, expulsion, graduation or withdrawal. For employees: voluntary or involuntary employment termination. A refund request form must be submitted before a refund can be processed. Upon receipt of a refund request form a refund will be issued.
b. If the student does not owe the University any monies then he/she should expect a full refund for the remaining amount on the Panther PAW Account less an Administrative Fee of $10.00 for account closure.
c. If a refund request is not submitted within thirty-days (30) of the preceding Account Closing stipulations, all funds shall be forfeited to Clark Atlanta University.
d. An administrative fee of ten dollars ($10.00) will be assessed for processing all refunds.
e. The Panther PAW Office shall close any account that is inactive for twelve (12) months or more.
6. STATEMENTS AND ERROR RESOLUTIONS
A statement of account shall be generated upon request. No statement will be regularly generated. If there is an error on a receipt or activity statement, or if the Cardholder would like more information about specific transactions, the Cardholder should contact the Panther PAW Office within sixty (60) days, in person or in writing of noticing the error. The Panther PAW Office will conduct a thorough investigation of the request and provide a written report within twenty (20) business days. If the error is validated, the Panther PAW Office will make the necessary adjustments.
7. BANKING
a. In order to use your Panther PAW Card for banking, you must have a checking account with Wachovia Bank, N.A. You must contact Wachovia to link banking services to your Panther PAW Card.
b. To link banking services to your Panther PAW Card, call 1-800-WACHOVIA, go to www.wachovia.com/campuscard or visit any Wachovia Branch.
c. By linking Wachovia banking services to your Panther PAW Card you agree to the Wachovia Banking Card Agreement. You promise to review this Agreement (available online at www.wachovia.com/campuscard, or at any Wachovia branch) prior to using your Panther PAW Card for banking. Future changes to the Agreement will apply to all cards in circulation and in use at the time, and will supersede the Agreement in effect at the time you acquired and linked banking services to your Panther PAW Card.
d. If your linked card is lost or stolen, you must contact Wachovia at 1-800-WACHOVIA.
e. There will be no reversals of PIN-based Wachovia Campus Card transactions authorized by the Cardholder. These transactions will be considered final once they are initiated.
